Emma Sundvik is an award-winning vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (piano, trumpet, harmonica, bass, drums) based in San Antonio, Texas. Originally from New York, she has performed all over the US and around the world. Music has taken her to 5 continents! Since 2021, Emma’s been entertaining guests as a Singing Pianist onboard Holland America Line cruises: from Alaska to Africa, the Panama Canal to the Norwegian Fjords. Passionate about creating an unforgettable experience, Emma’s performances will get you singing along, on your feet, toasting, and enjoying the fun of the moment! Her captivating voice mesmerizes audiences with everything from classic hits to the latest chart-toppers. With a huge vocal range - from emotional ballads to high energy rock and everything in between, Emma plays something everyone likes.

LONG BIO
Emma graduated from Berklee College of Music, studying voice and trumpet. While attending Berklee, she received the Voice Department Achievement Award, the Outstanding Jazz Vocalist Award, and the Berklee Achievement Grant for her successes. Emma had the opportunity to study many different styles of music while in college and notably loved her DJ lab. She studied abroad at Berklee’s Valencia, Spain campus for two semesters (Fall 2017, Spring 2019) and performed at numerous venues in Spain and Europe during her time abroad.
So far in her career, Emma has worked with vocal greats Kurt Elling, Sheila Jordan, Peter Eldridge, Janis Siegel, and Lauren Kinhan. She was selected to be featured in Janis Siegel and Lauren Kinhan's monthly showcase, "Vocal Mania", where she performed alongside the two at the famous NYC Zinc Bar.
Emma has always been drawn to group singing, and immersed herself in the vocal jazz scene. She received three Downbeat awards for vocal jazz groups she was in at Berklee —Berklee's Advanced Vocal Jazz Choir and Point of Departure (Berklee's student-run vocal jazz group). Emma can be heard on Point of Departure's debut album, "In Time!"
Playing trumpet in her high school jazz band, Emma has always loved the sound of big band. She continued to play in numerous big bands through college and it was always a dream of hers to be the featured vocalist for a touring band, much like many of her idols. The summer of 2021 her dream was realized as she was featured as “Marion Hutton” of the Modernaires in the Dan Gabel and the Abletones Glenn Miller tour. Emma performed around the historic New England bandstands singing with her friends from college, The Beantones.. After those shows, Dan hired Emma solo to perform as the featured vocalist with the Dan Gabel and the Abletones Big Band.
In addition to performing, Emma is a songwriter and producer. Janis Siegel and Lauren Kinhan premiered the video for Emma's original song, "A Prayer", on their virtual show "Vocal Gumbo". That video and song can be found on Emma's YouTube channel.

NONMUSICAL BIO
As well as her musical endeavors, Emma has had many non-musical successes. She is a freelance artist, video editor, content creator, and website designer. Emma produced the music videos for Peter Eldridge's songs, "It's Just Us" (2021) and "Big Regret" (2022). From 2020-2021, Emma worked as a video editor and content creator for Janis Siegel and Lauren Kinhan’s virtual show, Vocal Gumbo. She's done multi-track videos for the Kristin Chenoweth Broadway Bootcamp and New York Voices Vocal Jazz Camp. Emma held the role of Domestic Contract Manager at the Kurland Agency. In that position, she had many opportunities to work with some of the biggest jazz managers, agents, artists, and venues in the world. She also worked as Temporary Website Coordinator for the Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and interned with Morningside Music Studio and Persistent Management. She has worked within videography, photography, social media marketing, and advertising for her internship roles
